Rather than listing shows that ran their course and had a series finale, like Friends, Seinfeld, and Xena: Warrior Princess, I'm listing shows that either didn't catch on or were cancelled before their time.

Oops...my bad...I heard a rumor that it wasn't picked up for another season...but I looked it up and it's set for season 6. Yay!

i haven't done this in a while... mine are up! my list coulda gone on forever cuz all my faves have been cancelled or ended or something... =(

You're listing Buffy? Even though it ran for something like 7 seasons and pretty much needed to end?


I agree with you about American Gothic though. I loved that show.

It's a great list however I'll happily debate Buffy with you, on the basis that it did run the full 7 series, had a series finale and ended in exactly the same way as Friends/Seinfeld/Xena...which is that cast/crew/network/viewers decided the show had run it's course. I wouldn't class it alongside Firefly or others which did actually get axed.
