10 Memorable Vacation Moments

- Road trips when I was little, dancing with my cousin Melanie in the back of a van to 60’s music. This was before car seats
- Meeting the Miss Universe contestants in NYC
- Driving through Florida in a red convertible with my sisters
- Watching short track speedskating in Salt Lake City
- Going to Disneyworld during the unofficial “Gay Days”
- My son’s first time on a beach in Santa Monica
- Playing volleyball on Myrtle Beach with my cousin, and tricking the people we played with to believe we were alternates on the Olympic team
- Hiking through Mammoth Caves with my family
- My first Cirque du Soliel show - Mystere in Vegas with a bunch of friends
- Having our car break down on a mountain in the Philippines at night after being told that there were cannibals aroun. Obviously, I wasn’t eaten.

Love the volleyball and cannibal ones! Some friends and I in high school convinced some girls at a ski resort that we were British. Until one of the guys got cocky and mentioned how we’d been skiing in the Olympics at Sarajevo recently. Which of course we hadn’t because we were 16 and not very good skiers.

Car seats! Our vw bus had the front seats, back row and space in between to play… things change, huh? Really had the think back on this one. Great topic!
