10 Things You Love About Your Life
Sometimes we’re so busy moaning and groaning about the stresses in our lives, wishing for things we can’t have or the life we should have had that we forget to appreciate how lucky we are to be alive. So what makes your life wonderful?
- My son! Every day I’m thankful he’s in my life
- The rest of my family. Sorry family, you’re all lumped into one number.
- My city. Well, the city that I grew up in….I’m in a suburb now. Chicago is a great city to live by!
- Friends that don’t abandon me even though I’m crappy at keeping in touch
- Working at home - it’s a love/hate thing
- Our DVR. Even though we have 3 televisions in the house, we still fight over the main TV. With a DVR, I can just watch my stuff when I’m up late at night
- Leftover birthday cake. YUM.
- The fact that I’ve learned to enjoy cooking, rather than finding it a chore
- Getting more into photography
- I’m really good at what I do for work, even though there are times when I don’t like it much

It’s been a month, if not more, since I last put up anything in my blog, so I figured it was about time…
plus, I adore this week’s topic!
Here’s my Tuesday 10 for this week.

My top ten:
I can’t really put this on a personal page, because on millitary computers most personal pages are blocked. I ran across the top 10 on Tuesday by accedent, and I’m glad I did. It gives me something to look forward to. My top ten is in no particular order, because sometimes this one is better than that one.
The top ten things I love about my life are:
My dog: Reggie, is the best little mutt I could ever ask for. The first pet I picked out myself. Straight from the SPCA. I miss him a lot right now.
My job: In the military, I don’t carry a gun, but if called to I would in a minute. Deployed right now, but not close to the action.
Family: Every one has always been so supportive of my choices. It has always been “What ever you choose, I’ll stand behind you.” Never failing to be there when I call.
Positve attitude: No matter what. I try to have a positive attitude. There is nothing better than the morning when I wake up. I know that the day is just begining and there is nothing that can bring me down. I have bad days, but I always remember that the bad ones are there to make me appreciate the good ones.
Navigation abilities: I always know how to get back to where I started. Don’t get me wrong, I do get turned around, but when that happens, it’s usually for a great reason, like one time I found this pristine waterfall in the park when I took a wrong trail.
Friends: The friends I’ve made here and the friends back at home. They listen, they take my side in an argument even if I’m wrong. Well, at least they take my side while I’m venting. When I’m finished venting they bring me back to reality and I realize that usually its not all the other person’s fault.
Being picky: I thought this was a flaw for a long time, but the one of my friends pointed something out. I know what I want, but more importantly I know what I dont want. I know that I wont put up with certain things. Once I decide I dont like something that’s it. which brings me to the next thing.
Decision making: It may take me a little while to decide on the big things, but once I make up my mind, that’s it. There’s no turning back. I need at least a good night’s sleep before I can make any big decisions. I sometimes look back and say “What if?” but I never think what I decided to do is a bad idea.
Learning: I love it. I never want to go a day without learning something new. I wish I could be a professional student, and just go to classes all day every day forever learning new things.
Memories: They keep me entertained. They remind me where I’ve come from, where I want to go, and how I dont want to behave. Treasures more valuable than gold. Good and Bad.
Well there they are my top ten. They needed some explaining, which made this kind of long, but I’m glad. Thanks for reading!!!
