I love playing games, all sorts. I used to play a LOT of video games back in the day - so much that my parents hid the controllers from me! I don’t have much time anymore, but if I get a Wii for Christmas (moms can want Wii’s too!) I’ll make some time!

1. Super Mario Brothers - a classic! Many hours/days/weeks of my life were spent trying to beat some sort of Mario Brothers game
2. Cranium - Great game for a big group of competitive people
3. Tony Hawk Pro Skater - I played my guy friends at this and beat them so badly they went home to practice only to come back and get beat again
4. Texas Hold ‘Em - I was addicted to playing this game online for a while…fortunately it was only pretend money!
5. Taboo - Lots of great, loud memories with this game
6. War - One of the easiest card games ever!
7. Thrill Kill - banned in the US because of extreme violence, me and my cousins spent many a Christmas bonding over this game
8. Operation - Never had it as a kid, but every time I went over to someone’s house who had it, I HAD to play
9. Boggle - I’m not the best at it, but I love to play. They’ve got webboggle online, which I haven’t played in a while!
10. The SIMS - Is it a game? or is it me practicing how to play God after I take over the universe? I think the latter.

These things are not always the case for my gender, but I’ve been lucky enough to experience the pros to being a woman. It more than makes up for the cons (like recovery after childbirth!).

1. The bond that only a mother can have with her child
2. The wedding is ALL about the bride (well, it’s supposed to be!)
3. It’s OK to cry during Extreme Makeover (it’s ok for guys to cry during it, too, but most don’t feel that way!)
4. We don’t look weird and lumpy when we’re naked
5. Using PMS as a reason for being crabby (of course, it’s thrown right back at us)
6. We have a better selection of clothing
7. When a ship sinks, we’re first off
8. Chick Flicks (I still cry when I watch “The Notebook”)
9. Ladies’ Night - I get in free, but the guys have to pay!
10. We have no balls to re-adjust

Extra credit this week (it would have been the topic this week, but I forgot that Thanksgiving was coming up!) is the annual “Ten Things You’re Thankful for”.

1. A great, loving family
2. My little baby boy
3. Several aspects of my job - the people I work with, job security, my promotion and raise
4. Having a great vacation
5. New camera equipment - I got a couple new lense and flash. I’ll be a photo monster this year!
6. My awesome house
7. The internet
8. My health
9. The Sprout Network - Ben loves it, and it give sme a couple minutes to do housework
10. Mineral powder foundation - a couple sweeps with a brush makes me feel made up, but not too made up for the day

Now time for this week’s topic - a repeat from a couple years ago, but we’ve got some new players…

1) “On Bended Knee” by Boyz II Men - In college, we always used to stand in a circle and sing this together. What a painful song.

2) “You Got Me Up” by Cajmere - this is MY song. When it comes on I own the dancefloor, baby!

3) “Que Sera Sera” - Me and my sisters were singing this song on karaoke, then my dad told me to let Fatima sing, implying that I sucked. I haven’t had confidence in my singing since then.

4) “Supersonic” by JJ Fad - We’d always play this song on the cafeteria jukebox in high school.

5) “When I Fall in Love” by Celine Dion - it was the first song that Dave and I ever danced to.

6) “1979″ by the Smashing Pumpkins - Drunk in college at Manny’s apartment, with the video camera hooked up to the TV and making weird music videos.

7) “Move Along”by All-American Rejects - This song was in heavy rotation on VH-1 around the time Ben was born. Many late nights were spend feeding Ben and watching this song.

8) “You Light Up My Life” by Debbie Boone - I was lost in the house once, and my parents found me by listening to me sing this song.

9) “Those Were the Times” by Miguel Reyes - Gets me all teary eyed for my old college days.

10) “Nothin’ But a Good Time” by Poison - Good times driving around with Melanie, Ken and Maui in high school.
