10 Interesting Websites You’d Like to Share

Tuesday, August 14th, 2007

I love to surf the web, and often I find little gems that I love going back to….here’s a list of quirky favorites:

1) The Hollywood Stock Exchange - Buy and sell stock for upcoming movies and celebrities. It’s a lot of fun once you get the hang of it. It’s all play money, of course…

2) Fark - Weird, interesting news tidbits can be found here…

3) Yahoo! Answers - If ever I’m curious about something, I’ll search for it first on Yahoo! answers. If I don’t find what I’m looking for, I’ll just ask the question for other people to answer. You’ll usually get a good answer, since users get points for getting the best answer to a question…

5) MySpace hopping - Everyone knows about myspace, but something I do when I’m bored or procrastinating is looking at semi-celebrity myspace pages and checking out who their friends are. It’s interesting to see who puts who on their top friends lists. If you’re interested in checking it out, you can start off with a Real World celebrity, or maybe Dancing with the Stars

6) Yelp - A great review site. Since I travel a lot, I’m always curious about the great places to eat and shop in a city.

7) Cupcake Bakeshop - I have yet to make a cupcake recipe from here (all my cupcakes from mixes) but I just love to go here and drool at the pictures

8) dafont.com - I love fonts. I’m a font freak. Dafont is the first place I go to when I’m looking for fonts.

9) The Superficial - I admit it. As much as I try not to, I love celebrity gossip. The Superficial feeds my guilty pleasure, and I love the commentary there.

10) Yeti Sports - Many hours were wasted at work with coworkers trying to get the high score. The games here are fun and suck all your time away!
