Dave had a packaged delivered to him, and Ben found the box full of packing peanuts. He had fun with the “whites” as he called them…a little TOO much fun.

This blog needs a dash of Ben…
He’s at the point now where he asks me to take pictures of him when he sees my camera and does poses. He’ll see the camera, say, “Picture!”, go several feet away, and smile. He’s even gone so far as to move his stuffed animals around and pose with them (I’ll post those later). See that third pic? that’s when he’s being the ultimate cheese - smiling really big with his hands framing his face.
Then, after he hears the shutter click, he runs to see the picture that’s been taken, then runs back for more.

Bokeh Wednesday: Eggs Benedict
My breakfast kryptonite - poached eggs sitting atop an english muffin and canadian bacon, topped with herbs and hollandaise sauce. I’ve finally perfected the art of making pretty poached eggs! It’s my favorite breakfast to make, and my most delicious!
What’s bokeh?
bokeh (from the Japanese boke ボケ, “blur”) is a photographic term referring to the appearance of out-of-focus areas in an image produced by a camera lens. Different lens bokeh produces different aesthetic qualities in out-of-focus backgrounds, which are often used to reduce distractions and emphasize the primary subject. wikipedia
The Price of Art
When I was taking pictures of the lunar eclipse, I was constantly going in and out of the house with my camera, with my tripod in tow. During one instance, I dropped my camera. I gasped but it looked like I dropped it on the side of the camera, not on the lens. The next time I went out to take pictures, I was unable to take off my lens cap. I thought it was because I kept on bringing my camera in from the cold, but then I realized that my lens cap was stuck IN my camera. Luckily, I had a UV filter on my zoom lens, so I was able to unscrew my UV filter and my zoom lens was unaffected. My UV filter, however, was not so fortunate.
I guess they were right when they said that always having a filter on your camera is a great way to protect the lens!
