hi!
was searching the web for monkey cupcakes and came across your blog. started to read some and LOVED what u said about obama, palin, hillary and prop 8. i LOVE a woman that thinks JUST LIKE ME :)
i do live in ca and i'm embarrassed, saddened, shell shocked and disgusted that it passed. u would think we were ahead of our times in california, and in many ways we are, so how could people actually VOTE to take rights AWAY from people?? it blows my mind!! yes on 8 campaign was geared to scare voters. anyway, one step ahead (GO OBAMA, i cried i was so elated) and one step behind (for california). one day we will all have rights, equal rights! so happy obama will be our pres! what a GREAT thing!
ps LOVE your cupcakes, will have to recreate them!
love

Our company president sent out a memo to employees last week encouraging them to vote today. He said, even if your candidates don't win, you send a message to those candidates who do win that they have to work to earn your votes. So, even if you vote for someone who isn't likely to win, you tell something to the person who does. You still make your voice heard.

stay on that soapbox because i need to give you a standing ovation for this entry! very well spoken! i was never politically-minded because i've been a witness to far too many fights/brawls/feuds that were politically-derived. so i will continue to hold my tongue, and "be on the fence". but i just thought that what you said regarding the entire election situation was very well-put! *kudos*

plus, the political banner is very matrix-like! ;-)
