The Many Faces of Ben
I’m going to start getting the birth announcements together, but I want to take a good picture for it. So last week baby and I had a little photo shoot. I had him wear one of the Cubs jerseys he got (he has about 8 Cubs outfits, thanks to all who gave them to us!) and his baseball blanket in the background.
It’s kinda hard to take pictures of him since he has NO attention span right now, and it’s not like he can pose or anything. I basically have to wait for moments and make sure I capture them on film.
Anyway, here’s some of the outtakes. I still haven’t chosen a picture so one of these may be the winner. Then again, I just may have another photo shoot since he doesn’t even look like this anymore!
I have to admit, my baby is adorable! I can stare at him for days!
The sad thing, though, is that he doesn’t smile on cue yet. He only smiles when he’s pooping or falling asleep, and those times are so hard to catch! I’m waiting for when he actually starts smiling on his own. But for now, I decided to give him some help…
that’s it! the pic in which you’ve helped him smile is the one you should use for the announcement! ha ha ha
ummm. i’m thinking maybe you should wait till he smiles on his own lol… he looks like the joker in that pic

lol..i like the one where he’s kind of got his hand under his chin…looks like he’s in deep thought! omg…you’re going to end up JUST like me! i took probably 500-600 pictures of ayden in the first six months! we now have to have an external hard drivein order to keep the “good” ones! (and don’t even get me started on the videos!)
the very last one on the right on the last row says “are you talkin’ to me? are you talkin’ to me!?!” Ben is such a cutiepie!!! i can’t wait to see him!!!
I think that comes around 4 months. And THAT will arrive before you know it! I like the last pix on the right of the top row.
Babies usually smile on their own between 6 - 8 weeks if I remember correctly. All of these pictures are just adorable. The whole set would so cute on the front of your announcement.
I agree with the person that says the picture in the top row,, last one on the right. Great lighting, love it!
All of them in a collage WOULD be cute, but, if I had to pick just one, I’d pick the top one on the right.

Awww yano you’ve got to take some ‘gas grin’ pictures. Those are the best you can hope for at this stage. Very blissful looking. Ben looks amazingly alert and wise beyond his age! His face looks 4 years old in some pics. Watch out! You’ve got a super kid on your hands! Thanks for the adorable pics.
