Since Redpac’s driving out to Indiana and buying a lotto ticket for me…
Only a couple more weeks to participate in Redpac’s yearly “Guess the date and time the first Mardi Gras drunken vomit will happen” contest. Yes, he’s still going to Mardi Gras. I’m sure he’ll have many interesting photos and he’s more than happy to support the economy of NOLA.

Not commenting on the Mardi Gras…You must be thrilled that your friend won the 1,000. As far as Shani not competing on the Team Pursuit, the choice was his (not sure though when he made it). Here we only have Eurosport so all the commercial hype that many on your site allude to is missing. Regardless of the fact that so many athletes are being manipulated by the Mad Avenue crew, they must be totally focused on their endeavors to have even a chance to meet with any success. Guys like Joey Cheek though are one in a million. It remains to be seen how Shani now deals with his amazing accomplishment. Judging from his website, I think I will make all around him proud.
