Out-of-Towners

It’s been a busy couple of weeks! As you may know, over the last month or so, I’ve had a whirlwind of out of town guests come in and out. Everyone used my place as launching pad for different activities. My aunt came by, then visited her friends, then my dad stopped by before he went to Vegas and San Diego. Marian and Shannon came by last weekend to check out California. I saw more of SoCal in the last weekend then I have the whole time I’ve been here. I felt like *I* was on vacation last weekend! Dan and Tall Steve also came to join in on the festivities last weekend, and thank God X was open at Magic Mountain, Dan would have set the place on flames! Then we all had a great time at Rick and Lanie’s, playing cards, drinking and laughing a lot.

Last Monday I was invited to dinner with some Canadians that were in town, and I had a fun time just eating and listening to their accents. I was exhausted on Monday!

Then yesterday we went to the National Sports Grill & Bar in Torrance to meet up with Deo, who’s also in town. The place was CRAZY packed with Lakers fans who were watching the game. We were happy in our little corner of the restaurant watching the Cubs play. We were the only TV that wasn’t tuned in to the game. One of the TV’s on our level was tuned into FOX Sports, and the other TV’s were on another channel. It was hilarious to watch the crowd, because the rest of the restaurant had a 3 second delay, and the group at the top level would cheer, then the rest of the restaurant would cheer.

It was great hanging out with Deo again, catching up on everyone at home. We gossiped like old ladies. We also found out some interesting events that happened during our wedding that we didn’t know about! We missed a lot of drama! Too bad Mike couldn’t come, (he’s lived here all this time, but I’ve been too lazy to arrange anything) but hopefully we can all meet up tonight!
