Greetings from Rochester, New York!
It's been a while since I've traveled for work. I was fortunate enough to get a client that was about 15 minutes away from my house for the month of December, but not as fortunate this time around.
I've been pretty apprehensive leaving Ben since he's doing something new every day. It seems like he's been growing by leaps and bounds ever since he started crawling (yet still maintaining his skinny Nicole Ritchie frame). I didn't want to miss a thing.
But work is what pays the bills, so I gotta suck it up and do what I gotta do. Fortunately, my cousin Marlon gave me a webcam for my laptop for Christmas. I set up my old webcam at home and set up my new webcam on my laptop. I created a Yahoo! account for Ben (because I couldn't remember the account that Dave and I share for yahoo). We tested it out today and it was a lot of fun. Ben didn't quite understand what was going on, but I think he enjoyed seeing his mommy on the computer screen.
Now my heart isn't as heavy as it was on previous trips. I can see my little guy and he can see me, making me a little less wary that he'll forget who I am!
That's awesome!!!! They grow just too fast.....You shouldn't have to miss a thing, thank goodness for technology!
