Yesterday, my sister Claudine married Dan, better known to you all as Redpac and the rest of the internet community as the guy who runs the "Countdown to Legality" website. :-P
It was a wonderful day, even though it was a sweltering 96 degrees and there were a couple hiccups here and there. I'll go more into it tonight but I've got to head out to the day-after party.
Here's one of my favorite shots from the day, the couple in their first dance. Maui played the keyboard, Fatima sang the words, which I had never listened to until yesterday, but which made me cry when I heard them. It has truly been a journey for Claudine to find her true love, and I'm so happy that she found someone that compliments her so well that will treat her like a queen.
I set out on a narrow way many years ago
Hoping I would find true love along the broken road
But I got lost a time or two
Wiped my brow and kept pushing through
I couldn't see how every sign pointed straight to you
Every long lost dream lead me to where you are
Others who broke my heart they were like northern stars
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you
I think about the years I spent just passing through
I'd like to have the time I lost and give it back to you
But you just smile and take my hand
You've been there you understand
It's all part of a grander plan that is coming true
Every long lost dream lead me to where you are
Others who broke my heart they were like northern stars
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you
- Rascal Flatts - Bless The Broken Road

But seriously, congratulations and best wishes to the happy couple. I can't wait to hear more about the wedding. I was chatting with Redpac a couple weeks ago and told him I looked forward to reading the wedding writeup on Yano's blog and he was like 'oh yeah! you're right, I hadn't thought of that.'
Did Ben attend his first wedding?
