Anyone wanna try to pick some winners? We can see tomorrow who's got the best picks... Posted by Yano at January 16, 2006 01:48 PM

Are these what/who you want to win or who you predict will win? Because Reese Witherspoon will win Best Actress and Michelle Williams will win Best Supporting Actress. The Producers has a very small shot of winning anything.

It's a bit of a mix of the two, Jew, but more of who I *think* will win.

If Reese was against anyone but Laura Linney, I'd vote for Reese, but I think that the foreign press has a soft spot for Linney, which will give her the edge to win.

As for The Producers, I'm thinking that its Broadway counterpart and Nathan Lane's reputation will edge him out to win the big prize.

I do think Nathan Lane will win for actor, but that's it for The Producers. As for your "foreign press" theory, Judi Dench has a bigger chance of winning should that theory play. I don't think Reese should win, but I'm pretty sure she will. I also think Hoffman has a better chance of beating Ledger- that is, if the Globes have a brain this year, which they didn't last year. I'm hoping Hoffman wins, even though I heard Ledger makes a lovely gay cowboy.
