New Layout, New Month of Trivia!

For the Holidays I've brought back my Rudolph layout. I've always loved that little bugger. If you don't like the holidays or hate that little reindeer and don't want him to be part of your reindeer games, you can always change your layout on the sidebar or by going to the layout preview page.

There is a new trivia month starting today! We've had a couple new people join within the last few months, and I wanted to welcome them all. Remember - suggestions for trivia topics are always welcome!

Here's the winners for the month of November - Redpac was in the lead for a bit, but zebedest was always behind him, waiting to pounce to get this month's crown. It's nice to see some new winners around here!

1. zebedest (362 points, 2 wins)
2. Redpac (353 points, 4 wins)
3. SusanG (318 points, 0 wins)
4. noelle (312 points, 4 wins)
5. denise (295 points, 0 wins)
6. snwchild (279 points, 2 wins)
7. Yano (272 points, 0 wins)
8. TallSteve (261 points, 3 wins)
9. bruno (261 points, 2 wins)
10. Cav (253 points, 0 wins)

I never posted the October winners - if you may recall, Redpac boasted this at the beginning of October:

It's sooooo on this month.

In fact, anyone who beats me will win something. I will personally mail them a prize. Of course I won't have to mail anything since I'll be #1.

Here's the scores, and it looks like once again, Noelle will be getting a little prize in the mail!

1. noelle (461 points, 3 wins)
2. Redpac (417 points, 6 wins)
3. denise (394 points, 2 wins)
4. notsosmart (367 points, 2 wins)
5. zebedest (311 points, 1 wins)
6. SusanG (302 points, 0 wins)
7. Cav (301 points, 3 wins)
8. Yano (292 points, 0 wins)
9. Trish (283 points, 1 wins)
10. TallSteve (281 points, 1 wins)

Remember, playing every day increases your chances of getting in that top ten. Topics are easier on the weekends, and there are less people who play. Invite your friends to play along - Redpac's brought in a whole bunch of friends to play. Luckily, they're not that good (*evil grin*), but it will increase the points that the winner gets.

...and remember, I'll be changing the topic between 9 and 10pm central time. If you don't see a topic change when you're logging on in the middle of the night, wait until the morning - sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and change the topic - it might be easier or harder than the topic the previous day, depending on how I feel and depending on if Tall Steve has already played and got a high score.

Good luck this month, everyone!

My goal for the month was to either be #1 on your trivia, or at least beat Redpac! There are a lot of smart people out there...Looking forward to crushing you this month :)

Can you schedule topic changes in advance, or do you have to do it every day?

Are you open to bribes? *evil grin*

Sarah - I was rooting for you! I was also rooting for you last month. You've been doing well!

Noelle - no, there's no way to schedule the topic changes in advance, which is why sometimes I have the same topic two days in a row - I fall asleep the night before and too many people have taken the trivia by the time I remember to change the topic. I wish there was!!!

SusanG - Compliments always help. Also, letting me know what things you're interested in helps, too. I like to give people an easy day every once in a while (which is why I've chosen Vegas for Redpac, Travel for Noelle, and Horses for Pridey.

It seems like there are quite a few single dudes playing this game! We are not always as refined as the ladies.....I am thinking boozing---sports----and other general mayhem....relating to the single man!

I'll take History and travel any day. How about wine? Always food! Not foods of Hungary, no fair Noelle, j/k. Horses again please :) OK, how about wars for the guys? Home and garden? Weapons? Aircraft? Explorers? Mountain climbing? Tibet. Metaphysics. Alexander the Great. Islam.

I like Rudolph too. I was thinking of buying the DVD.

Ooh... Alexander the Great! Good suggestion.

Speaking of Rudolph, got any holiday trivia? Or Christmas, Hanukkah, etc.?
