Redpac rocks!

Although he could be verbally as well as physically abusive, and although he constantly talks about banging my sister, and although he IMs me strange porn in the middle of the night (although that's actually quite enjoyable) and although he kicks my ass in trivia and isn't afraid to let me know it...Redpac is a good guy.

Why? Here are several points:

- He calls, horribly drunk from New Orleans, to say 'I'm not going to touch any boobies because I love your sister. She's the best!'
- He got tickets to the Cubs/Sox game, and asked if me and Dave wanted to come - a game that we've been wanting to go to for years
- He's my escort at short track events, not minding driving hours to wherever a competition is, going there, enjoying it, making new friends, and not yelling at me if I fall asleep in the car on the way home. Oh wait, he yells at me. But at least he doesn't beat me
- He listens to my dad when he complains about how horribly his daughters treat him
- He lets me borrow books to read
- When Claudine's not around to nag me, Redpac is my conscience and nags me about things like eating healthy, watching what I spend, and when I'm doing stupid things
- What's not to love about a guy who use to have strippers leave you voicemails?
- He's going to marry my sister, which in itself is in extraordinary feat - I'll let you know how the marriage goes!
- He finds me answers when I'm stuck at a client site and I run into problems and don't know what to do
- Because of him, I have one more white friend. I can never have enough in my arsenal of white friends.
- He lets me know when interesting TV shows are on, like the documentary on people who are addicted to plastic surgery and end up looking like living mummies
- He doesn't mind being the planner for events, like his parties, ski trips and trips to King's Island
- I actually don't mind having him as a brother-in-law. Ask me that before he started Claudine, I would have screamed at you and clawed your eyes out. But as much as he teases her, as much as he talks about the kinky weird sex acts he preforms with her to shock us, as much as he loves to impersonate her 'Da-aaaaan!' voice, it's obvious that he really, truly loves my sister and will treat her with the respect and adoration that she deserves.

Of course, I never post anything without an ulterior motive.

I'm in Columbus. I have no car. Since Dan is here for training, and he has a car, he's getting up an hour earlier than he has to so he can pick me up and drive me to work.

So thank you, Redpac, for getting up early in the morning to drive my ass to work since I don't have a car while I'm here in Columbus. Have a good time at the Waffle House.
