Greetings from Jackson, Mississippi! I could have just type MS, but felt like shoing you my spelling skillz by typing the whole thing out.
Left home at the crack of dawn today, had a flight to Atlanta, then another hour to Jackson. Kinda seems like a roundabout way to do it, but I'm not gonna complain.
The thing that is cool about this gig is that there are several other coworkers that are here working on this project. That's a luxury that I didn't often get before (although when it did, it was tons of fun!). So it's cool to be here and have other people to talk to, hang out with and eat with. My client is about 2 blocks away from where our hotel is. It was raining, but since we all had umbrellas, we decided to walk it.
What we didn't realize, is that it was a full out thunderstorm, with buckets and buckets of rain falling down and the wind gusting, making our umbrellas merely a hassle, since they turned inside out. The rain was coming at all sides, there was no protection from it. By the time we got to our hotel, we were pretty much soaked through, our feet squishing in our shoes making us feel REALLY gross. But we were laughing our asses off. We walked into our beautiful, classy hotel like we dogs, shaking all the excess water off. We were definitely soaked to our bones. I had to peel my pants off, and I don't even want to talk about how gross my socks felt!
Jackson prepares for about 10 inches of rain tonight, as well as tornado warnings and being labeled a PDS by the weather service - 'Potentially Dangerous Situation'. I never even knew they had such a thing!

Tonight I just chill out in my hotel room, amusing myself with 'The Bachelor' (ok, that Sarah W is kinda turning a little psycho. I'm starting to like Anitra. She's cute), The Inferno and Trippin' on MTV. Today's Trippin' has skateboarder Eric Koston, one of my favorites next to Tony Hawk. Hopefully he cuts his hair soon - he looks much better with it ultra short.
Of course, what would a night at a hotel be without doing some multi-tasking for work? Bah! It's like working two jobs!
I'm out!
