In case you were holding your breath (because I was), Aramis Ramirez has signed on to stay with the Cubs for $42 milliion, four year deal. Yay! He's a great, all around player, and I'm glad he's staying with the team. He's got the option to go free agent at the end of 2006, but it doesn't look like it:
" "That's just an option, but I don't think I'm going to exercise that," Ramirez said. "I want to be a Cub for the rest of my life.""
All we need now is Prior to get back in his groove, and we'll be a force to be reckoned with this season!
Yes, Prior needs to be healthy and soon. Love that guy.
