I've been noticing in my logs lately that there has been a big jump in people linking to my pictures on my site. I don't really mind when someone uses a picture for a post on their blog or something. That'll use up my bandwidth for the picture, but only for as long as that post is viewable on the main page. I admit that I do stuff like that all the time.

What I do have issues with is when a graphic or photo of mine is being used as part of your profile or layout. That's something that is seen more often and for a longer period of time. It's not a big deal when one person does it, but when multiple people do it, that ends up being a pretty big use of bandwidth. I'd almost rather have you save it and upload it on your own server to use than use my bandwidth. But it would piss me off even more if I found you using it and I didn't know.

So to combat it, I've replaced the most linked pics on this site with this pretty little graphic:

I know I'm dorky, and I'm being really bitchy and anal. But the least these people could do is either give me credit for the photos (which they haven't) or let me be aware that they're using my stuff. I was really tempted to one of my multitudes of porn pictures here, but I decided not to. But that would have been so awesome!

Those of you that are coming here because I changed the graphic, I'm sorry. Shoot me an email or leave a comment and we can talk about it. Unfortunately for those of you using the vandamme dancing graphic, that sucker ain't coming back - not only is he a big hunky man, but he's also a big file.

Just let me know - I wouldn't have a problem with it. I just get annoyed when people take without asking.
