Clean, Yet Not Clean

So our network guy has been reminding me that my laptop needs service pack 2 for Windows XP, but I've been too busy to do it. Today I was able to get some free time so I did the update, which took about half an hour.

If I had it planned better I would have done it during lunch or something, but I did it in the middle of the morning.

So what to do for half an hour?

Hmm. Nap? Nah, I don't think the guys here would appreciate my snoring.

Play on the internet? DOH! I don't have a computer.

Bug and annoy my fellow coworkers? No, I don't want to put them through the pain and torture that they put me through.

Just kidding guys.

So I decided to clean my cubicle, which hasn't gotten a good cleaning since I moved back from Long Beach. I threw out a bunch of stuff - paper, notebook, note pads, boxes. I looked at my full trash can with a look of pride.

But now, I'm looking at my desk, and it really doesn't look like I've cleaned anything off at all. There are still piles and piles of papers that I need to sort through and knicknacks that I need to throw out.

*sigh*

When will I ever be done?

Exactly how I feel about my room.

My sympathies. I stopped cleaning long ago when I finally realized that all I really did was rearrange the piles.

You should just leave the mess where it is and take over a clean cubicle.

Bwaaahhh! I wish I could do that.

In the interests of preserving your `puter nerves...if your I.T. hasn't already loaded MegaloShaft's ServicePac II, you MIGHT want to have him hold off...

I hear that a lot of people are having problems with it; our I.T. guy delayed installing if for a long time, and Jeff Levy, a computer tech "DJ" on LA radio's KNX, is a sworn enemy of the upgrade.
