Some of us have mentioned several times before that we like to play a little poker online. Don't worry, we're not mortgaging our houses or hocking our valuables, it's just play money. Honing your bluffing skills and establishing various betting strategies is a great way to prepare yourself for when all the chips are on the line, and it's free!
Our current play site is PokerStars.com, where the likes of Chris Moneymaker and the recently crowned Greg "Fossilman" Raymer made their poker debut, winning online tournaments and a seat in the World Series of Poker. Both of them won an obscene amount of money for their $40 online registration fee. I think Moneymaker won $2mil, and Fossilman won $5mil. Good god that's about 5000000% return on your investment!
I don't condone doing anything at work besides work, but if you happen to be in one of those 'not so busy' states, contemplating the meaning of life and browsing the internet aimlessly to quell the monotony of your daily routine, log on, get a free account and look me up. My screen name is 'sambgood' [it took me a LONG time to come up with that one]. And I promise I won't take all your chips...except you, Yano.
Um, I think that's the other way around - which is why you have $20,000 less in your bank account.
Posted by: Yano on January 10, 2005 01:00 AMI have $20K less in my account because certain somebodies at work take advantage of another innocent somebody when he isn't there but is still logged on to their Poker account. But I'm not naming names...
