New Year, New Me...OK, Not Really

I think when the new year starts, everyone does a little soul searching. OK, maybe it's just me. But I'm looking back at 2004 to see all the things I'd done, all the things I had learned, all the mistakes I'd made. How can I change my life for the better in 2005? I really don't know how. There's so many things I'd like to work on, so many aspects of my life that I'd like to improve on. But sometimes the task seems so overwhelming, I just don't know where to start. It's like how it used to be when I would clean my room (before I married Mr. Clean). I would look at the room in its infinite messiness, and although I KNEW that I had to clean it, I was at a loss at where to start since every part of my room needed to be cleaned.

The sad thing about this is that my room was never completely cleaned, not by the time I moved out. Fatima lives in that room right now, and she's done a great job cleaning it out (maybe I should have her help me clean up my life). But there's still little aspects of me lingering about the room - old books, glow in the dark stars, a Little Mermaid poster on the door. The poor girl will never get rid of me!

I guess 'cleaning up' my life would be the same way. I don't know where to start. I don't expect to fix up every aspect of my life. In a way, I thrive in chaos. In no way am I saying that my life is messed up, because it's not, but it can be better. But how? I don't know. Baby steps. Putting away the clutter that builds up. Reorganizing to make everything fit better together. Getting rid of the dust so I can breathe a little bit better.

Welcome 2005, you should be a pretty interesting year.

I can relate 100%.

I resolve to hire a personal assistant, to clean up my living space and my life. :-P

Even if I could get my room organized, I don't think I'd be able to maintain the cleanliness. I'd give it a week and the room would be messy again!!
