This morning I returned my rental car that I used in Milwaukee to the Avis center, which is several blocks from work. Had a interesting conversation with the lady at the counter.

Lady: Was everything ok with the car, Ms. um, Es-tay-co? Is that right?
Me: It's Es-TAH-she-OH. Like 'pistachio'. (actually, Dave pronounces it es-TAH-see-OH)
Lady: Ahh, Estacio. And your first name is Christine? Christine Estaci o. I like that.
Me: Yeah. I'm still getting used to it. (then I show her my ring)
Lady: So you just got married?
Me: Hmm, about a year ago.
Lady: Well, he's got a good name. I like it. Estacio! Sounds dangerous. Like you could be real nasty to someone and they shouldn't mess with you. I'm Christine Estaci o!
Me: That's why I married him. I love a last name with danger!
