This week's PhotoFriday: Unexpected
Who'd have known that you could get free spam when walking on Venice Beach?

And of course, I had to get a free sample. Or two. Or three.

Ugh, pressed meat.
Monty Python comes to mind, though. Which is a good thing. :)
Posted by: Neets on October 15, 2004 09:04 AMhave to say the mandatory Monty Python quote: "spam, wonderful spam!"
Posted by: Tom on October 15, 2004 10:17 AMYES! YES! YES! Wonderful Spam. I love canned meat. Well, being Asian and from Hawaii it is a given to love Spam. During my last visit to Hawaii, they had the largest Spam musubi. Mmmmm, now that's a good way of eating Spam. Fried Spam, sweet soy sauce, all wrapped up with rice and seaweed. I'm such a fan of Spam, I have a Spam t-shirt and a Spam magnet. Now I just have to plan a trip to the Spam museum!
Posted by: Stan on October 15, 2004 12:31 PMSpam's the best!
Posted by: Yano on October 15, 2004 01:49 PMi can only imagine what that tastes like, but strangely enough it's making me hungry! bah...i'll just blame it on the pregnancy!
Posted by: thaihoney on October 15, 2004 02:56 PMSpam, Eggs, Rice and ketchup, mmmmmm!!
Posted by: Marky Mark on October 15, 2004 04:01 PMewww...canned meat.
i think that spam is all the rage in the philippines. i believe that they have a restaurant devoted to all that is spamalicious.
i, for one, find it repulsive. which makes me further question just how filipino i really am.
Posted by: bernadette on October 16, 2004 03:47 PMSo what is wrong with Spam? It is only made up of ham, shoulder of pork, nitrites, salt, and sugar. If you eat a non-kosher hot dog, you are actually eating "parts".
I have to agree with MarkyMark about Spam, eggs and rice....mmmmmmmmmm! If anyone is interested, I got alot of Spam recipies.
Posted by: Stan on October 16, 2004 04:57 PMSpam! Spam! Spam! Spam!
Doesn't that stuff remind you of being a kid? My parents always fed us Spam for breakfast (with rice and tomatoes) once a week. Then there was the "fried rice" that had Spam in it. Ah, good times!
