Bragging is one of those things. Like porn, it's hard to define, but you know it when you see it.

How do you know when you're doing it? I dunno, I guess it depends on what your motivations for sharing are. But I think it's something everyone does at some time or another!

I don't consider your stories bragging at all. I enjoy them very much. You lead a very interesting life and I thank you for sharing some of it with your readers.

I love to read your stories. If something awesome happens to you, I'm happy for you, I'm not thinking "Ugh, show off." I think its when someone you don't know is sharing something neat with you, you get annoyed with them, but if it's a good friend then you like hearing it hehe :-)

i think there's a very fine line between the two. And often times it gets very blurred. i guess it all depends on how well you know the person. then again, sometimes even your friends can make ya roll your eyes too... ehhh... i dunno... like i said... blurry fine line. either way, i like your stories although sometimes i admit that i too roll my eyes. but not in a bad way though... just in a "oh-god-only christine" kind of way. hehehe...

Christine, I think your true intentions shine through in the way you write: I've never had the feeling that you're bragging. Like the others who've posted already, I like to read your stories. :)

Thanks everyone....you know...sometimes I wonder if I'm getting carried away with what I say. If I do, don't hesitate to knock me off my high horse - it's been done before!

And as for you family/best friend types, I EXPECT you to roll your eyes at my (mis)adventures. You know me well enough!

i think it depends on the person. you're not a bragging type of person. i sure as hell hope people don't think the same about me.

I love all your stories, every experience. It's like being there, and I get a free trip! Maybe it's jealousy that causes people to label things as bragging. On the internet and as a fan I enjoy hearing everything I can about my sport and its athletes. Doesn't bother me that somebody else had the experience....I get to enjoy it vicariously.

I think it's bragging when you're intentions are to show off. You can spot it in other people because their true intentions come through in their story. If you truly just want to share a story, go for it.

I agree w/ what everybody said...there is a fine line btw bragging to make a person/people "feel" left out...and just sharing an experience. I like reading other peoples stories about their encounters w/ who ever it is..makes me feel like I was there...and if there are pics included then that's great too...the more the better! :)
