At 'Home' At Last

After a nice little stopover to visit Claudine in Des Moines, I'm finally at my super secret location, where I will be spending my time until we find a home.

Have I told you that yet? We're home hunting. It's hard to do it from across the country, but we do have a couple places we have in mind. Although I'll be a city gal inside til the day I die, I have to admit I've gone to the other side in terms of searching for a home. Yes. The suburbs. Right now, we're looking at Oakbrook Terrace, Elmhurst and Schaumburg...We'll see what happens.

Since I'm at a super secret location, my internet access at night will be pretty spotty at best. No high speed access here at Location X.

Let's hope the house hunting goes well!

It's nice to be back in the Chicago Metropolitan area again!

...I lived at and went to Elmhurst College for 4 years, I really enjoyed the area and the proximity to the city. After I got married we tried looking for a house there, but you get so little for your money!! So we ended up in Geneva - oops! Anyways, good luck on your home searching, and welcome back! Now you&Dave can watch the Cubs all you want!

elmhurst, schaumburg?!?! you'll be freakin right next door to me. well not really but 5 minutes...lol. hey, the burbs ain't that bad. nice and quiet and yet chaotic at the same time.

I don't post here often, but I visit regularly! I just wanted to say that I live in a suburb of Chicago, Aurora actually, and it's not all that bad! :) I love "city life", but being in the 'burbs is good too! You should check out the Aurora/Naperville area and I know a bunch of people who are moving to Oswego...it's changed a bunch and A LOT of new homes are being built!
