Either Way, You Win

Thanks to everyone for their encouraging posts. I've said it many times before, I'm blessed to have so many wonderful, caring people around me.

Yesterday me and Dave headed of to the beach so he could study and I could catch up on the People's 50 Most Beautiful issue. After that, we ate some dinner, I did some work (argh! on the weekend! but it kept my busy) and then went out to see 'Van Helsing'. Before heading out, I was watching the 'Survivor All Stars' 2 hour season finale. I was going to miss the last hour because of the movie, so I set my VCR to tape the last hour. Of course, I totally forgot about the hour reunion afterwards. And I guess the two hour finale ran over a bit.

So I missed who won.

But then I realized it didn't really matter, because Boston Rob proposed to Amber, which I thought was really sweet. And either way, he ends up a millionaire. You may think that he did it because he knew he'd lose, because the way that final Tribal Council went, you knew he didn't have too many friends. But it was obvious that he truly had feelings for Amber, and that she had them for him, too. But I think he also did it to ensure his 1 million, too. *wink*

So they're both winners.

By the way, Amber won. But she deserved it, by hiding in the shadow of the conniving, manipulative one. She's the queen of flying under the radar. I missed the reunion though...did I miss anything good?

I saw the reunion show. I think the best part was when Rob asked Amber to marry him. That was pretty cool. Big Tom and Rob got into a "heated" discussion. And during the “discussion” Jeri put in her two cents and pretty much got booed by the audience. When they came back from a commercial break, Jeff announced that Jeri didn’t want to be part of the show anymore and she left.

Apparently Big Tom was upset about something Rob said about his son. I think I missed that part because I have no clue as to what Rob said about Tom's son. Anyway, it went something like this:

Big Tom: Growl Growl Grumble about whatever Rob said. (Can’t remember exact words)

Rob: (not exact words but pretty close) Big Tom, you said things to me the whole time we were out there. Almost every single day you called me "Pony". You said you called me Pony because you were going to ride my A$$ all the way to the end. I in turn called you Dumb A$$. I didn't take it wrong to you calling me Pony and me calling you Dumb A$$ was a term of endearment. (I died laughing over that one) If I said anything to offend you or your family, I truly apologize.

Rob then put out his hand to shake Tom's hand. Tom took a few moments before he accepted Rob's apology.

I don't know what some of you might think about this, but Rob was looking pretty good last night. It's amazing what a bath can do for some people. LOL

I'm glad that Rob and Amber made it to the end. I'm glad that Amber won. And I know I am going to get “what for” for this but here goes, I CAN'T STAND LEX! He had no problem getting rid of Colby and Ethan explaining to them that it was "just business” nothing personal, but when Rob pretty much did the same thing, I think he acted like a big baby. Ok all you Lex Fans you can throw stones at me. :P~~~

Although my name rhymes with Lex, please don't confuse me with a fan of his. I think he's a big cry baby, too. If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. This is a game, and you have to check your baggage at the door.

On the flip side, what Rod said about how dumb Tom's family was, etc, was not cool. I mean, you just don't say those kinds of things, especially on worldwide TV. DUH!!! There is just a line that you don't cross, and talking bad about people's families is one of those lines.

I'm glad that Amber won, too, but I would have been happy if either of them won. They both did what the game says, "Outwit, Outlast, Outplay". And good for Jenna Lewis when she was casting her vote and told them to be proud of how they played the game, although I know why they would act like they did and not say they were proud when it was right before the vote.

And, I agree. I think there's true love there with Rob and Amber. I'm so damn jealous! hahaha

Your right Tex it wasn't very nice of Rob to bust on Tom's family. But at least he apologized and I think he honestly meant it. I too thought both Rob and Amber played the game very well. It was like they were (or at least Rob was) in control the entire time. Only a few times was I worried that Rob would get voted off. I thought for sure that Amber was going to go a few times. I can't wait to see who wins the second Million on Thursday. That should be interesting. Oh and I thought it was pretty cool that Amber awarded the car to SheeAnn (sp?). During the game I wasn't sure I liked her, but at the final show, I thought she said some pretty nice things and she has her head on straight after all.
