Dave was on call yesterday, so I had some alone time.

At first, when Dave would be on call, I would get a little depressed, trying to think of ways to keep myself busy. I didn't like being alone, especially in an unfamiliar city where I didn't know a lot of people. But I realized that as time went on, that I really enjoyed these times that I had all to myself. I love taking my little adventures around town, going to places that I would enjoy, but which Dave may not feel like going to or doesn't have time to do. After being married for this long, having moments to myself, where I'm doing something independent of my husband are a nice change of pace.

So today I went to the Los Angeles Zoo. I think after going to the zoo in San Diego, I've been ruined for all other zoos. The LA zoo wasn't as great an experience for me. It didn't have the same wide selection of animals, and the layout of the animals wasn't easy to follow. I found myself backtracking a couple times to see animals I missed. It could also be because it was H-O-T today! I was burning up and I wasn't even at the entrance of the park yet. I took a good amount of pictures, but I have enough pics of sleeping animals for a whole gallery. I wasn't the only one that was lethargic because of the weather! All the animals seemed to have this, 'You know what? It's too hot. Leave me alone' look on their faces.

But it was still a good time. I'll post up my sleepy animal pics...then the rest will be in my upcoming galleries. When will those be up, you ask? Um. I dunno. In time...
