Happy Easter to everyone!
I guess I'm in a little funk today. I'm going to be spending the day alone, since Dave's on call at the hospital today. This is something that I'm not used to - spending a holiday like this by myself. At home, I'd be waking up early to get all dressed up for church, go to church with my family, then go to my family Easter party, where all my aunts, uncles and cousins are and eat and laugh and have a lot of fun.
But today, I'll be getting dressed up, go to church by myself, then go home to an empty house to clean. I really wish I was home in Chicago, or at least that Dave was here.
Maybe I'll go to the Aquarium for a bit and check out their new exhibit or something.
I guess something that makes it a little bit worse is that I'm thinking a lot about my mom today. Every holiday for the next year is going to have that 'This is the first insert-hoilday-name-here without her' feeling to it.
Well, there's nothing that I can do about it. The house needs some TLC anyway, since we're having a lot of people come by in the next couple weeks...but that's a story for later.
Cousins and sisterfriends, if you're out there reading, I really miss you tons today.
And so I don't end this post on a depressing note, here's a cute little easter treat for you. Gotta love bunnies:
The Easter Bunny's Message for You
Posted by Yano at April 11, 2004 09:30 AMHappy Easter, Yano. Hope you're not too lonely. Call someone you love! It's not the same, but it helps to hear someone's voice.

Happy Easter!
Happy Easter, Christine.
Posted by: Trisha on April 11, 2004 06:35 PMI was thinking about you today and wondering how you were doing. I didn't know you were going to be alone. That really stinks. :(
I don't know if there is much to say that would make it better, but at least it's over and by next year you'll be back in Chicago with the people who love you. Well, not all the people who love you are in Chicago. Some of them are here in um...where the heck am I? Oh yeah. Florida. There are people in Florida who love you too. At least until they go home, in which case there will be people in New York who love you.
Ugh. I'm suffering from a chocolate hangover. I'm rambling. Anyway... *HUGS*
