You know, I've always had a problem with balance. Not only physically, but balancing things in my life. Balancing my social life. Balancing my need for independence and my need to have someone there for me. Balancing all my different projects, from this site, to Rusty's site (which I have neglecting lately), to getting my pictures organized, to getting some blog layouts together for people to use. Balancing real life and the online life. Balancing real life and work. Balancing short track fandom and comic book fandom. Balancing the amount of time I spend online and the amount of time I dedicate to Dave and taking care of our place. Balancing my TV needs and Dave's, especially since March Madness has started.
Sometimes I feel like that circus act where the guy is spinning plates on sticks, and as he's going down the line and setting up the spinning plates, he has to run to the plates that are about to fall and keep on spinning them.
But I'm sure you all have had that feeling before, right?
Oh, and that physical balance thing is a bitch, too. If I had some, I would SO kick ass at snowboarding right now, rather than worry about getting shitters and splitters as I'm going down the mountain!
Posted by Yano at March 14, 2004 03:03 AMThe balancing act of life truly sucks, yano...I feel ya.
Now that things are getting extremely busy for me, too, I'm having to prioritize and only take on what I know I can handle. (of course, I'm notorious for thinking I can handle the world).
Case in point: you're not alone ;)

Posted by: Noelle on March 14, 2004 04:44 PMShitter: You fall so hard on your ass you feel like you're taking a shit.
Splitter: You fall so hard on one ass cheek you feel like you've split your ass in half.
Posted by: yano on March 14, 2004 10:18 PMsister, yur a gemini. u take on lots of projects at once, and this is what happens. solution??? if you wanna put your all into what you do, don't take on so many projects. but if you like everything that you're doing, then do it all, but realize that you can't put 100% into everything that you do. you'll burn out. and that won't be pretty. so just deal. shoot.
me? i just have to woorie about getting up for work, doing laundry, doing the dishes, or some other kind of house work. everything else in life is pretty optional, like my blog, or drinking. hehehe.
see u 4 days!!!! yaaaaaaaaaay!!!
