Every once in a while, you realize that you take so many things in your life for granted. I've got my health, a wonderful husband that puts up with all of my eccentric shit, and a place to live.
So the guide in my cable is broken and I have no idea what's on TV. That's ok.
So I've got a Monday deadline for 3 projects that I got this week, and stayed up til 3 am yesterday to work on it. I'll definitely have to work during the weekend.
I'm going to Hawaii in 2 weeks, and I am NOT swimsuit ready. Blame it on the hamburger helper.
I was 'watching' live CSB this morning to see the short track world cup in Bormio, and it cut out on us just as Rusty was heading to the finals. Me and my fellow short track freaks didn't know what was going on.
It must be Friday the 13th.
But it's all good. Life goes on...and life is good.
And Rusty got the silver in the 500 meters. It's been a long time coming, and I'm really happy for him.
And tomorrow, we might do some Valentine snowboarding.
And I have some wonderful friends that think of me when they're far away to give me updates, pictures, and just to say 'Hi'. Makes a girl who feels a little special to feel a little more special.
I'm so inspired, I'm going to fold the 5 loads of laundry I did!
Posted by Yano at February 13, 2004 06:28 PMhappy valentine's day Christine!!! Have fun snowboarding.
Posted by: Lissa on February 14, 2004 07:27 AMa good reminder to think positive and see the good in everything....'my fellow short track freaks didn't know what was going on' -- I was going crazy when CSB crashed just before Rusty's final; (but maybe it's better I didn't see it--those 41 sec. would have given me heart failure! ) I'm so happy for Rusty!
Posted by: SarahGillian on February 16, 2004 09:32 AMWow, I never was told I inspired someone to do laundry before. *smirk*
Count your blessings girl! I was so happy for Rusty.
And Live CSB. *sigh* My Finishlynx boyz reported to me 2 days in a row about how it went down. They moved to new offices in a new part of Boston and their ISP seems to have some reliability problems (to say the least). They feel real bad every time it goes down. They know all the fans back home in the USA are counting on them! I hope they find a new ISP soon. :-P
