For some reason, we get a lot of wrong numbers and telemarketers on our home phone line. I don't remember if we asked to be unlisted or not...But I had an interesting wrong number today...

Me: Hello?
Caller: Hello, is John there?
Me: sorry, wrong number
Caller: really? is this 562-xxx-xxxx? (my number)
Me: yeah...
Caller: But there's no John there?
Me: Nope, sorry.
Caller: oh, well, this is a courtesy call for my company...are you interested in getting some deals on steak and seafood?
Me: uh, no thanks...
Caller: Are you sure?
Me: Yeah, that's ok
Caller: Well, howabout a date, then...you sound pretty cute!
Me: *giggles* Uh...no...that's ok.

Bizarre, isn't it? I don't think I have the type of voice that people would ask someone out on a date over...but it still was pretty flattering! Dave got a big laugh over it and told me to stop flirting on the phone with strangers.
