Just Like Being a Kid Again

When I was a little kid, there were many things I wanted that I never got - cabbage patch kids, the Barbie house, an Easy Bake Oven, hungry hungry hippos...but the one thing that I wanted SO much that I never got was a Lite Brite. I wanted so badly to create works of art on that black background with those colored pegs. But it never happened.

Until today.

Thanks to Joanna for this link!

OMG OMG OMG!!!

You don't know how awesome this is. I am permanently scarred from my childhood, because I was not allowed to have a light bright or legos.... too many pieces. This is too much fun!!!

Aww, Yano and Tex, no Lite Brites for you? That was one of favorite toys as a child!

Glad I could share the virtual LB, anyway! :)

I never wanted a lite brite. In fact I don't think they had lite brite when I was a kid. But let's not go down that road. I did want a Barbie house, and a Barbie car. Oh, and one of those Madame Alexandar dolls. I used to go through the Sears catalog and pick out all the most expensive dolls. I always had expensive taste. :P

I'm surprised I didn't grow up to be one of those people who spends all their money collecting Marie Osmond dolls off the Home Shopping Network.

I never wanted or had a lite brite when I was kid. I was content with my stuff toys and barbie dolls.

...very nice lite brite creation though!

i'll admit i wanted a lite brite when i was a kid. then i went to my rich cousin's house and he had it. they had these paint by numbers sheets of paper that you had to stick on the front so you could follow their designs... i thought that was kinda lame so i didn't use them. the only drawback to this wonderful little art tool was cleaning up...

this reminds me of this 'get fuzzy' cartoon that was in the paper a few months ago...

'hey satchel, why haven't you opened this yet?'

'open?'

'yeah. this is just the picture on the box. the actual lite brite is inside the box.'

'you mean there's more to this box than a fantastic picture of a glowing clown? OH MY HEAD!!'

hahah...love that dog, man!!

of course, this won't make any sense if you don't read/like the cartoon...

Yay! I'm not the only one who was lite-brite-less as a child.

I feel so much better.
