Well, I'll be heading out to the airport soon to catch my flight to Detroit, which then goes to Marquette, MI. I'm pretty excited to go, and in a way, I'm more excited to see my fellow fans than I am for the actual competition. I hope I packed everything I need - clothes, rechargeable batteries, digital camera, video camera, cell phone, glasses, corned beef. Ahh, yes, three cans of California's finest corned beef will be accompanying me on my journey. Before I head back to California from Marquette, I'll be stopping in Chicago for a day, and my dad had bought corned beef when he was visiting us here, and he wants it back. I guess he likes it a lot. So I'm packing some meat with me.
For those of you who aren't going, but wish you were, here's something to tide you over til I can get some pics posted up...

Thanks for posting the pics! i believe i looked at them before, but it sure don't hurt to look at them again! wink*
I like seeing fellow fans too. Meeting and catching up with them has become almost as important as the actual competition.
Too bad there wasn't more time for the whole group of us to get together. We seemed to spend quite a bit of time in smaller groups at this competion. I know it was partly because our seat assignments were scattered all over the arena and we were staying in several different hotels, depending on what we could afford.
Oh well, maybe we'll have better luck at another competiton.
