ARGH!!! Poor Dave!

My poor Dave.

Today's game sucked ass. I can't believe we lost. I can't believe that the Marlin's got 8 runs in the 8th inning. I can't believe that a fan tried catching that ball that Moises Alou could have so easily caught. I can't believe that Alex Gonzales dropped a ball that he's caught 100 times before. I can't believe that we have to play one more game.

This sucks.

It sucks even more for Dave, who's been waiting for the Cubs to get to the World Series all his life. I feel so bad that he's alone in Long Beach, watching the games by himself. I wish I was there to console him. Then again, I talked to him a few minutes ago, and he's not in the greatest of moods. Maybe it's better I'm here in Chicago.

I pity the guy who tried to catch the ball. Sell your house and get out of the city. Everyone knows what you look like.

Moises Alou appeared enraged after an unidentified spectator in the front row down the left-field line prevented him from catching a foul ball—an early domino in the chain reaction that led to the Marlins' eight-run eighth inning. But the veteran composed himself and, after cleaning his postgame plate of food, spoke to a huge crowd of reporters around his locker.

"I'm almost 100 percent sure that I had a clean shot to catch it," Alou said. "But at the same time, I feel kind of bad for the guy because every fan in every ballpark, the first reaction they have is that they want a souvenir. Nobody's thinking about the outcome of the game.

"I was very upset when it happened because I was there. I got there on time, I timed it perfectly, I jumped perfectly. I kept my eyes on the ball and all of a sudden there's a hand on my glove, there's a hand on the top of the ball.

"But things like that happen. Too bad it happened to us, because we could have been celebrating right now."

Yet Alou apparently understood. "If you have a clean shot at a baseball, you go for it," he said. "Hopefully he won't regret it for the rest of his life if he's a Cub fan. Maybe we can take the load off that guy by winning the game [on Wednesday]."

No matter. There's still Game 7.

Kerry, take us home....

Don't worry Dave...Kerry Wood will kick ass and strike out at least 8 Marlins and the Cubs will win Game 7 and make it to the World Series. Get ready to pop the Champagne bottles and party in Wrigleyville...Go Cubs Go!!

Wow, had no idea how it ended. I was shacked up in chemistry lab while my partner kept bugging me to go online with my phone to check the score. One zero Cubs I told him about 10 times.

Then somehow the huge upset. That person who caught it can't be a cubs fan... conspiracy!

To ALL you cubs fans. My friend Steve is truly, truly sorry. Please don't use him as the escapgoat on why the Cubs lost. Steve really is a cool guy
