You know what? I'm still sick. Since I moved here, I haven't been more than 5 feet away from a stack of tissues, and I'm coughing up a lung everywhere.

I've deducted that I'm allergic to the state of California. OK, maybe just Long Beach. Maybe it's the ocean air. The pollen count. Palm tree leaves. The cats roaming around the apartment complex. Jack-in-the-box. Traffic. I dunno. But I hope it goes away soon!

I was talking to a friend, and I mentioned my theory:

Him: Are you still sick?
Me: Yeah.
Him: It's been two weeks now!
Me: I know....I have a theory.
Him: What, allergies?
Me: Yes! I'm allergic to California!
Him: Come on now!
Me: Really! I never had allergies before!
Him: You know, you've been to California before, and you've been fine.
Me: But this is a prolonged stay.
Him: You could be allergic to something else.
Me: I know....maybe it's pollen or something.
Him: Or maybe you're allergic to being married.
Me: *dramatic pause* Oh my god. That's it!
Him: You've never been married before, right?
Me: No! Well, there was that one time in kindergarten, but that doesn't count.
Him: That's it then!
Me: Yes! That's what it is! How could I have been so blind?!?!?!

Now the challenge is breaking the news to poor Dave......
