So I've been working at this client site for the past couple days. Actually, this has been the client that I've been visiting in LA for the past couple months. I've been here maybe 3 or 4 times.

Sam was the original consultant at this company, and the team he's worked with has moved to other projects. But I remember when he came back from this client, he had said that it was like the west coast version of the our company. There was the guy who liked D&D, there was the jock-ish guy, and there was the token tech chick. Which, in a way, I am (was) at the office (if you don't count Amy, that is, but she's so far from my desk!). He said that this girl totally reminded him of me - she was a techie geek, she was one of two women in her group, but was treated as one of the guys, she was mother hen-ish, she was Asian (well, half) and she liked comic books.

Unfortunately, by the time I was at the site, she was switched to another project. So I never met her.

Til today.

And I don't know what Sam was thinking when he met her, but dude, she was REALLY good looking. I would even say HOT, but you never know who's reading this. *wink* At first, I wasn't sure who she was, but she had introduced herself, and I had to do a doubletake. Me? She reminded him of me? Part of me is flattered that she would remind Sam of me, because, yeah, she was a looker. But then again, he never mentioned looks.

So yes, I met my West Coast counterpart. The world didn't melt when we shook hands, the time-space continuum is still intact. I didn't really get to talk to her much, but she seemed pretty cool, and she was really friendly. And she's getting married in 3 weeks. And she used to live in Long Beach. Coincidence? I think not!
