I don't think my husband had any idea of how much time I actually spend online. Yesterday, he asked if he could check his sports scores and I shot him a dirty look. Dial-up's a bitch. So is having to share your computer with your life mate. Just kidding. I have to say that, because he reads my blog now. So no more complaining about how skinny his ankles are. Just kidding Dave, I never said that. Muhahaha.
But really, he had no idea that I spend most of my time online. Not lately, though, because so much has been going on. I mean, I have to COOK, dammit! Yes Dan, I cooked dinner yesterday, thanks to my Chicken Helper, we had some pretty good Chicken Au Gratin.
So yesterday, I was chatting with Linda and Candace, and Dave needed the computer. He saw my chat box and asked who these people were. The only pics that I had easy access to of them was from Friendster. When I brought up the page, he was like 'What is this place?'
I gasped.
'You've never heard of Friendster?'
Blank look. 'No. Am I supposed to?'
So I gave him the quick tour of Friendster. And he was amazed to find that a lot of his friends are on it. And that you had to approve friends. He loved reading the testimonials. And how I was linked to half a million people on the network. And how some of my friends he had never seen before. 'Uh, you know, it's an online thing', I used in my defense.
'I want Friendster!' he cried.
'Fine, I'll set you up an account. But you have to check it often.'
'OK. I will.'
Yeah right. Worlds colliding, I tell ya.
It is now 1:33PM, and I have patiently been waiting for my DSL to show up. They said from 1-4pm. They have 2 hours and 27 minutes left to come by. The clock is ticking, people!
