Well, my stay in LA has been much more uneventful than the previous ones, just for the fact that I've been working most of the time I've been here. I'm actually working TWO clients at once, because when I while I work on my LA clients stuff, I'm also emailing and talking on the phone with my Denver client, so in a way, instead of working 9 hours yesterday, it was more like 18. Just send me to Denver already! After hours, I'm in my hotel room, still working working working. Ack! Well, it's a good thing I'm not too stressed about it. Just grumpy.
Yesterday, I went to Engine Co # 28 Restaurant with what I consider to be the main part of what will be my family in the west coast - The Cajudo clan (Rod, Rick, Lanie, Rocena) and my friend Sam. The place was pretty nice, the food was good. But I was expecting firemen to be serving my food, since this was an old firehouse. Shirtless, buff firemen. Well oiled firemen with names like Biff, Rocko, and Ace. Sliding down the firepole with my dinner. But no, they had normal waiters. Hmph. But it was still a good meal.
It was nice to have everyone get together, and I was happy that they all get along. One thing I know I don't have to worry about while I'm living here in LA is making friends. I've got a pretty good set of friends here already!
It was great talking to everyone, and once again, we closed out the restaurant. Seems to be the theme for me when I go out with friends in different cities. Go out with Christine, be the last ones in the restaurant.
So I'm really looking forward to hanging out with everyone once I move here. I promise to bug Rod and Rick about finishing the movie, to go with Lanie and Rocena to the spa, and to take Sam clubbing with the gals.
Oh, and I can't WAIT until my West Coast un-bachelorette party, because as I say, the bachelorette parties don't have to end once you're married. *wink*
Speaking of...9 days! Eek!
How about a freakin review for the place eh? And where's are that slack Rod's review?!?
