...to those who wait.
I think I've bitched enough on my blog for the powers that be to give me a break, well, a couple.
I just finished an AMAZING dinner with Fatima, Mel, and Trully, my cousin from Brazil. As always, we laughed a lot.
Before dinner, I had gotten the final fitting for my dress. It fits beautifully, though my chest isn't ample enough to fill out the top, they gave me a nice set of fake boobs to help me out. Just wanna make that straight to y'all who are going to be at the wedding - no, those boobs aren't mine. Instead of throwing the bouquet, I'll be throwing the pads in my dress. Trully got to see the dress, and she LOVED it!
Before that, I talked to a friend of mine who said that there was a small chance that I might be able to work at the Aspen booth during the comic convention tomorrow. Even knowing that there was a CHANCE that I could be a comic book ho for a day got me and Fatima all giddy. It probably won't happen, but it blew our minds thinking that we could possibly have a chance to be Mike Turner's comic book booth wenches. I mean, WOW.
And to cap off the night, as me and Fatima sort out what comics we're going to bring to get signed tomorrow, I was going through my mail and found a nice silver letter from United Airlines. I'm back on the Premier List, baby! I'm back on top!
So yeah, this makes up for the tough morning I had. Most definitely!
Posted by Yano at August 7, 2003 11:39 PMHeh heh, good luck on being an Aspen booth girl. I met Mike Turner at Comic Con San Diego and he's one of the nicest guys ever. Sadly, I didn't have the nerve to ask for a sketch.
