To every cloud there is a silver lining, and my silver lining's name is Jim Lee.
I snuck outta work for a bit today and went over to the downtown Graham Crackers Comics, and went to get my copy of Wizard Zero signed by the one and only Jim Lee. As I had said before, he's the reason I got into comics. I love his art. Its awesome. And no way am I going to miss a chance to meet him!
So I got to Graham Crackers, and there was a long line outside. I was pretty worried, because I was missing a bit of work. It was a bunch of your stereotypical comic book geeks (said with affection), with a spattering of gals, too. I met up with my fellow fan Andrew, and we suffered through the line together. At first I had thought that I forgot my Wizard Zero at home, but I looked in my bag, and the gods were good to me - it mysteriously appeared in there.
So I got in the store and saw him. He was there with Wizard Magazine president, Gareb Shamus (who was pretty cute!) Now I had seen him once before, but it was far away, and I didn't even get close. But this time, I got to see him, shake his hand, and ask him for his autograph. I also asked if I could have a picture with him, and I was going to do the handshake across the table pic that the other fanboys were doing, but he suggested that I come around the table. Whoo hoo!

gawd i was so confused! at first i was like "wtf is andrew doing in LA?!" wait...christine hasn't moved here yet. ok, makes more sense. awesome photos! i'd totally miss work for it too if i were a comicbook g33k.

ps. adding to comic you should be reading, i would like to add the current story arc for Batman and Negation (CrossGen)
