Keep Pushing On...

"Keep pushing on, things are gonna get better, it won't take long, keep on pushing 'til the top"

*must*---*sing*---*mantra*---*to*---*self*

Yesterday was a crappy day. I think you can tell by the previous post.

To clarify, I love Noelle Neu in a strictly platonic way, so Noelle, please stop calling me and asking me out.

Today had the potential to be even crappier. And upon reflection and my present state of mind, IT IS.

I started out oversleeping, which seems to be a regular thing for me now. The president of the company told me to meet him at 8am. I drove on the highway close to the speed of light and made it into the office at 7:59. I had a presentation for our user forum to do that I had not started yet, because I needed help from the president. Waited 'til 8:15, he's not there. My presentation is at 9. I have nothing. So I call the hotel where we're having our forum. Turns out he's there. I pack up my laptop, run over there, and he says that he'd been waiting there since 8. HMPH. It's now 8:25. He tells me he has nothing. That I should just teach something generic about our product. WTF! So I run back to the office to print out the presentation I did last year. And of course, it's on my laptop which I had left at the hotel.

To shorten the story, I made up a 45 minute class. I had no idea what I was doing, and I felt like a moron because I wasn't prepared. I don't think the clients really noticed the difference, but I'm sure they were upset that I wasn't teaching what was on the agenda.

That was the start of my day. Over the past two days, I've had to avoid clients that I've had bad experiences with, clients giving me creepy looks, and staying out the whole day and night.

I've gotten an average of about 3 hours of sleep a night over the past week. That's counting the weekend, too. Over the last two days we've had the conference and been taking out the clients. I've been getting home at about 11:30 each night.

And I got home today to more drama. Drama surrounds me everywhere I look nowadays. I've become a magnet for it.

My life is pulling me in a million and one different directions.

I know I said I was done with complaining, so this isn't complaining. This is relaying the facts.

The only saving grace of the day was that we played Whirlyball. And the team that I coached kicked ass. And the teams that I played on kicked ass. I was 5-1 for the night. And I was able to let out some aggression, but not enough. But my voice is gone from coaching.

I'm so tired. Mentally. Physically. Emotionally.

C'mon powers that be. Throw me another one tomorrow. Let's see how much you can pile on me 'til I crack.

Friday can't come soon enough.

And worst of all...
I miss Dave. :(

Honest to gawd Christine - how do you do it? The lack of sleep would be a recipe for disaster with anyone else. Sorry about all the stress and drama in your life.

So... when do you get off work, sweet cheeks? ;)
