I was thinking the other day, that even though going to Salt Lake City for the World Cup Short Track was a lot of stress for me, and I lost so much weight because I had anxiety the whole time, it was still a great time.

Why?

Because I got to be on camera, thanks to Rod and Rick. You think the Wachowski brothers are bad ass? The Cajudo brothers are gonna kick ass. We got a ton of footage that weekend, and I got a chance to talk to people who I never thought in my lifetime I would talk to - Bronze medalist Joey Cheek, Australian Gold medalist Steven Bradbury, and the poster boy for the Olympics, Apolo Anton Ohno. It was so much fun to walk around with my little mike and do post competition interviews. Or to just chill with Steven on the side of the ice, sitting on the pads. Or sitting on the floor of a hotel hallway and talking to Rusty and Apolo as they stretched.

We got some good stuff on film. Aside from the great short track action, we got us screaming out the window of the car as Rusty and Apolo jogged around SLC, fan interviews, interviews with the skaters, me drunk and dancing on a bench...good times. I got to meet so many wonderful people, and I'm not talking about the athletes. I made friends with some awesome fans out there. Those were the funnest interviews!

But the image you see above, that was the best part of all. Walking around, catching the action, seeing people's reactions, coming up with questions outta my ass with Rick taping the action on the ice, and me and Rod taping the action off.

One funny story was that we had all shared a room together. We looked like a bunch of Asian refugees all stuck in a room together (Lani and Karen were to join us later). I was in the room before the guys came, and when they got in, they brought all their equipment with them - lights, cameras, bags, etc. We were sitting around talking, and we had just called the front desk to come and fix our toilet. When the guy came in, I was sprawled on the bed, and the guys were fumbling with the cameras. I can only imagine what they thought!
