So last Saturday, we took Nina out to hunt for her flowergirl dress again. The David's Bridal by my house didn't have much of selection in her size - she's pretty young for a flowergirl, only 2 years old. Well, 2 1/2.

So I stopped by her new house, with a a stuffed Nemo doll in hand. I'm not below bribing little children with Disney toys to make them like me. This time, I made sure that Nemo wasn't scary looking (see the 'Nina runs away from scary Stitch video') Of course, she loved him. She even requested that he ride in the car with us.

So we get to the store, and we pick out her dresses. I make a bet with her mom that Nina's going to be a dress flasher - that is, at some point in the wedding, Nina's gonna lift up her dress. Because you know, little girls do that. And Gail says no way.

So Nina goes in to try some dresses, and as soon as she comes out of the dressing room, BAM! up goes the skirt. Fortunately, there's enough layers in the skirt that there is no possibility that she can lift the whole thing up. Nina tries on the various dresses, goes to her regular pedestal, and this time, the sales lady brings shoes and a tiara. A little girl that was there with her mom helps Nina put on the crown, like a lady in waiting. Nina is in heaven!

And we knew that she had found 'THE ONE' after she refused to take off the dress, and went into the corner and stared off into space. After about 10 minutes in the corner, she came out and changed back into her civilian clothing. Her moment as a princess was over, at least until August.

I can hear my thunder being stolen as we speak!
