Guess who's back! Didja miss me?
Thanks to my guest writers. They did a great job! They'll be getting their undisclosed per blog monetary amount soon enough. I'm knee deep in emails right now (personal and work) so it's going to take me a couple days to sort through them all. Thanks for all the birthday greetings. You guys are the best!
Anyway, I'm pooped, so this is going to be a short one (I think). It was a pretty eventful vacation, so I'll be writing my novel on the plane tomorrow (I'm going to Denver tomorrow - BLEH!) So I'll give you some quick highlights - by the numbers:
0 - times I was on the internet during my vacation
1.25 - times I worked out on the ship
1.5 - days it rained during the cruise
2 - voicemails I got from work during my vacation
2 - times I fell asleep during one of the cruise shows
3 - number of deer we saw before going to the haunted cottage on the island
3 - times I took Dramamine to ease the mild seasickness
4 - days we were on the cruise ship
5 - times I stopped by the 24 hour ice cream bar outside of the regular dessert time
5 - pounds I gained on the trip
6 - times I watched 'Minority Report' on the ship, without ever catching the beginning of the movie
6.3 - number of hours it took to drive from Miami to Jekyll Island, GA
7.2 - number of hours it took to drive back to Miami from Jekyll Island, GA
9 - times we heard Sean Paul's 'Shake That Thing' on the way to Miami
11 - number of mosquito bites I have
17 - approximate number of hours I'll be spending in Chicago before I'm off again (to Denver)
30 - number of people at the wedding I attended in Georgia
40 - cents a minute at the internet cafe on the boat
60 - percentage of the girls 16 - 24 that had belly button piercings on the ship
70 - percent of the people who worked on the ship were Filipino
80 - minutes of video footage I took
100 - megabytes of pictures I have on my memory card

Kelly - No casino. I stepped foot in it once, and headed for the roulette table, but luckily I realized that I was late for dinner, so I never went. I knew that if I started, I would never stop! But then again, it would have prevented me from gaining wait. On the other hand, I would have lost money!
Claud - .25 is for the 8 minutes I spent on the Precor elliptical machine before realizing, 'What the hell! I'm on vacation!'
Teri - OZ cruise? OK, you plan it! After the ST season!
Noelle - If St. Simon's is more gorgeous than Jekyll, I'm there!

Denise - the sisters did a good job. They just might get paid a lil extra.
