Ok, so despite telling myself I'd never return to the lab (before med school I worked in a university research lab for one who will heretofore be known as the Angry Russian), here I am, back again for 6 weeks. At least I'm getting paid. And this time, I'm working for the Angry Russian's boss, not the Angry Russian. AR has apparently gotten his own lab effective July 1, and it's a few blocks away. For now his office is on the 3rd floor (I'm on the 2nd- phew), and I have seen neither hide nor hair of him since yesterday, and I kinda like it that way.

There's a bunch of new faces here, along with a few of the old ones. It's weird being in my old stomping grounds and having stuff I used to be in charge of now be someone else's job, and they do things differently and have stuff in different places. My old desk is no longer mine. Stuff on campus is in different places, too. It freakin' took me 10 minutes to figure out where the hell Subway went. Darn this construction.

It is nice seeing everybody, though. I've gotten a warm "welcome back" from everybody, so that's always comforting. But wow, is it weird to be back.
