aight. it's wednesday. and i thought today was already thursday...well, it will be anyhow. :)
so i went to superdawg today for the first time with some of my college peeps. and we'd joke about not having jobs. and having to find insurance. and paying off financial aid loans. but yah, it's not funny. i think we were really depressing ourselves. but my friend, liss, was right. you think about all the things you need to do...and how you want to save all your money and not do anything so you don't have to depend on your parents. and how you hope that you'll be able to get a job soon even tho the job market sucks.
growing up is fun.
and i hope you sensed my sarcasm in that one. ;) for now, we just watch our usual line ups on tv, clean up here and there, maybe get out of the house for a couple minutes...then i dunno. wutever. but i wanna take it easy. just for a lil bit. cuz i think i have the rest of my life to be a grown-up, right? right.
so now i'll say something funny. our dog, ewok, is a WUSS. he has these doggie bones that are meant for small dogs. but ewok the lil freak can't break his. or won't. i usually have to break it up into 3 parts, then he slowly tries to chew it up in his mouth. i dunno, maybe his teeth hurt or something...but he seems fine if we break it up. otherwise, he carries the whole bone, all 2.5 inches of it, in his mouth while he walks around the house. and after a while, he'll start to cry cuz he can't break it apart. and if you try to get the bone to break it for him, he goes all crazy on you and tries to bite you. wut a lil cry baby freak. hehehe. it makes me laugh. :D
Posted by Fatima at May 28, 2003 10:19 PMHey, I was just gonna say - you DO have the rest of your life to be a grownup - but then you went ahead and said it!
I know it's hard when the economy sucks and you have to look for a job and finally face real life - I was there back in 1993, when the economy sucked and I couldn't find a decent job. So I went to teach English in Hungary and failed miserably, but never mind that, because I got to hang out in cafes all day and sleep late, so it was kind of a nice -n- easy transition to the real world. So my point is, it really WILL all work out! Have faith.
About that dog Ewok. He sounds cute! Can you post a pic?? Please???
Posted by: Noelle on May 29, 2003 10:54 AMi sorta hear you on the grad thing. i'm worried about what i'm going to do with my degree (as far as i can tell, the demand for historians isn't all that great). . .
but then again, there's teaching in japan. which is good. =)
and my dog's wussy too. like, she'll howl whenever she hears something rustling outside, but when she has to confront, she'll run away. wuss!!
Posted by: bernadette on May 29, 2003 11:40 AMnoelle - that's kewl! the whole teaching in hungary thing. me? i dunno about teaching in another country...seeing as how i don't think my parents can let go, and how i don't really wanna move out of the country :D. and i'll try to find a pic to post of ewok!
bernadette - hahaha...yeah ewok does that too...stupid dog ;). i think our dogs could be perfect together...well that is if she's a lap dog...cuz then they'd look kinda funny if she wasn't...hahaha ;)
