Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful mothers out there!
I went to the mall today to get my mom a card, and let me tell you, every time I travel, I always go to the local mall to hang out, check the local scene, see if Clinique bonus days is going on, eat fast food, etc. And in my travels, I have not gone to a mall that has as many ghetto-wannabe teenage thugs like at the Lincolnwood Town Center. I love it. It makes me laugh. The great thing about the teenage thugs at the LTC is that it's a little "We Are the World' of thugs. Black kids, Latino kids, Asian kids...all of them represent at the LTC. Lincolnwood should be proud.
So I guess I wasn't the only one getting a last minute card at the card store, because there were 20 other people in line in front of me. I had no idea what to get my mom, but then I found this pretty frame. Unfortunately, I don't have any good pics of me and my sisters, so I'll have to photoshop something together. I also got Dave's mom something. Never to early to kiss up to the in-laws.
So for you moms out there, here's a little poem...
M is for the million things she gave me,
O means only that she's growing old,
T is for the tears she shed to save me,
H is for her heart of purest gold;
E is for her eyes, with love-light shining,
R means right, and right she'll always be,
Put them all together, they spell MOTHER,
A word that means the world to me.
