One of the things that I love about the client I'm at is that they have one of the most awesome cafeterias I've seen. This is the first actual company cafeteria that I've gone to that has fresh sushi! Yum! And a whole bunch of tasty desserts. So today, I decided to try the herb roasted turkey or something like that. It was great. But then I forgot the powers of turkey. By 3pm I couldn't keep my eyes open. I was doing jumping jacks in the bathroom to stay awake. Note to self, NEVER eat turkey at a client site.
The sun is out today, which is beautiful. Then again, it's only 50 degrees. I think it's warmer in Chicago than it is here. Actually, I KNOW it's warmer in Chicago than it is here - it's almost 80 in Chicago. And I bet you the minute I get back, it's going to dip back into the 40's. Damn!
Not sure what my dinner plans are for tonight, because I haven't been assertive and planned anything. I'm a horrible planner. I really need to have earlier notice when I'm traveling so I can actually coordinate people's schedules so I can get together with them. I've got a couple tentative things, but nothing set in stone. I may just end up getting room service tonight. Or maybe I'll just slum it at the mall. Or maybe I'll drive around and take pictures. For sure I'll take some pics tomorrow. For now, I'll post up some of the pics that I took when I was driving to Santa Monica. I'm going about 80mph when taking these, and I'm not focusing the camera (I've got to keep my eye on the road, you know) but I think they came out pretty well.
I've been out of the loop lately in terms of news - Is it just me, or was there an announcement that the war is over? And if so, why?
Posted by Yano at April 15, 2003 09:41 PMI don't know if the war's over, I heard that, too, though...I don't really watch TV. Anywho, it was beautiful in Chicago today! It was nice enough to wear shorts (if you went out in the early afternoon). Hopefully it'll stay like this for a while. =)
Posted by: lisa on April 16, 2003 12:21 AMif the weather from iowa is planning on hitting chicago, expect rain and 40 degree weather.
