I accidentally stumbled through this web page looking for the best metal songs created, not the best shit head trying to make a fool out of himself by making a so called great metal list that doesnt even have metal songs in it!
I mean, c'mon, AC/DC doesnt even consider ITSELF a metal group (even though i have great respect for them). Then i saw: One by Metallica which is the softest song they probably made before they went all country and "forget about solos"ish. And Slipknot and Disturbed being called "shit" is just your opinion, not everyone's. I've seen several people on here list them, it's not uncommon. And for your information, talent was NEVER *replaced* by anything, volume just emerged as a different branch of metal. Take Cradle of Filth, they're kind of the modern Iron Maiden. They're completely different from Slipknot, and they're still metal aren't they? Yes. And not everyone likes your "classic metal" either. I know several metal fans who can't stand Black Sabbath and whatnot. With me, no, I don't really like them. I just have a certain high respect for them seeing as they're the only reason that the bands I listen to today even exist.

Korn- is not a bad band but it can't be considered
heavy metal, even though they play hard, well they did
until a certain point, Slipknot, OK, they have a great
drummer, but it's not heavy metal either. TOO MUCH
METALLICA!!! They are good but not the best. Some of
their songs are classics, like Master of Puppets,
Battery and many more, but they are not the best.
Pantera- good, not the best. Iron Maiden, cool, even
great but not the best. I appreciate putting Rammstein
on the lists, they are good, no amazing solos but they
are original, duh, German... Sepultura, I used to
listen to them a lot. Sick voice, preety heavy.
Children of Bodom, now we're talking... : was suprised to see someone actually listen to good
Death Metal. Where is Behemoth? Death? Judas Priest,
good, good, still not the best. Good solos? How about
Steve Vai, Satriani, Zakk Wylde? Anyone saw what he
did in Japan? From their face impressions you could
clearly see that they never saw a good guitar solo.
The call of Ktulu, great job by Metallica, but not to
be put on the best list of anyone. Mudvayne? LOL, good
vocals, nothing amazing, but they are good. Ozzy-
deserves to be on top 10 lists. A lot to talk about,
everyone has their opinion. I will post my list later.
I would really have to consider this, because there is
a lot of bands that deserve to get credit. I respect
everyone's opinion. Metal forever. Keep it up.

However we must be realisitics. When we speak in heavy metal we can´t speak in bands like Korn or Slipknot or Mudvayne or Marylin Manson. It doesn't mean that it isn't good bands (personally I don't think that). We must speak in bands like Metallica ( till And Justice For All), Pantera ( they are a hymn at heavy metal and they had a powerful guitarrist_RIP), Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath ( the parents of metal). To those of you who love screamer bands, you don't call them metal because they aren't screamers (Some of you don't, but most of them do :D), to those of you who like Black Sabbath and whatnot, you don't call it metal because they oh so love to cuss. You're both partially right, but they're still metal nonetheless. But, as we all seem to know, most modern metal can't even come near comparison to the older stuff like Iron Maiden, and although I don't like Black Sabbath and whatnot they tend to be better than the newer bits as well.
